Outrageous..

Eric GArcetti’s camp was well aware… The murder even had meetings with his office. I have all the documentation and dates meeting were scheduled. The were fully aware and did nothing to intervene.

If someone (anyone) does an investigation we have a book of thousands of documents outlining the entire ordeal and everyone involved.

It started with rent skimming by a corrupt receiver, delved into illegal business transactions with out-of-state buyers (with exclusive HUD deals) and came to a head with CIM take-over and the immediate issuing of notice to tenants that their leases would not be renewed.

several hold-out tenants are still fighting the most recent rent increases of over 50% they received just the end of February. The tenants were tld their leases would not be renewed unless they signed the new lease agreements (with major increases)

during the litigation with the tenant who was victorious CIM lawyer stated they wanted mediation and that CIM had no experience or knowledge of managing Rent Control properties.

There are laws and if they are not followed one must pay the consequences.

I don’t care if it took 2 years, I wouldn’t sit back and allow CIM or anyone else rip me off when I know I have the law on my side.

I would bring Eric Garcetti into the fight if necessary since he deals with CIM, Eric wants to be mayor and if the public knows he is doing deals with CIM that could go against the citizens he is representing, it could get UGLY!

Didn’t Eric Garcetti allow CIM to put up illegal billboards on historic buildings in Hollywood only to be told that they must be removed?

Isn’t Eric Garcetti really responsible for this since he is the one who is suppose to look after these laws for us?
Eric makes almost two hundred thousand dollars a year!

Maybe this would be a good piece for the LA Times to look into.
The story could be good with the history of that building including the recent murder and now a settlement proving that CIM was wrong and ripping off the residents of Los Angeles.

Rent payments affect too many people in Los Angeles and should not be something we should be worried about.
The members of our city council make almost $200,000.00 a year don’t you think they could at least make sure landlords are not ripping off the people who vote for them?

Maybe the LA Times could look into how much money CIM donates to local politicians, following the money trail always answers the questions.

RSO is difficult to actually get traction from and only after lawyers from BASTA took the case was resolution obtained. and this after the tenant took it all the way to the day of trial. Then CIM settled.

Most people wont stomach such a drawn out fight where they “could” lose on technicality or miss a date etc…its easier for many to just cut and run which is what over 7 residents have done since the CIM take-over in July 2010

CIM must know the laws regarding rent stabilization and to go against those laws is pretty bold in my opinion.

I don’t think CIM has a chance if they are breaking rent stabilization ordinances.

CIM is WORST MANAGEMENT EVER IMHO!

Power on 2 br is about $225 every 2 months ($112 per month) so one br could reasonable be $50 or $60 per month.

Safety has been an issue for several years now. Sexual assault occurred right behind the building in dec 2009.

Parking attendant was robbed also that year.

Someone attempted to kick in someones door on the 2nd floor. Although I am told that they think it was the person above thems boytfriend playing some role playing games…

Safety is NOT good around here, but yes the units are exceptionally designed.

I have never wanted to move from some place more then I want to leave here.

Management is less than helpful with anything, all they care about is $$$$$. They ignore housing law, rent control laws.

CIM = BAD!!!!

Scary squatter should be leaving soon or so we’ve been told.

Concierge is located a mile away and the services are undefined… Dont bank on those amenities.
